- Please label sweatshirts, jackets, lunchboxes, hats, gloves, etc. with your child's name.
English/ Language Arts
Big Question:
- What changes over time?
Essential Questions:
- How do we measure time?
- How do plants change as they grow?
Focus Target Skills:
- Fantasy texts
- Creating a complete sentence
Sight Words to Practice:
- boy, girl, sign, there, their, were
Math
Essential Questions:
- How can we use tens and ones to help us add and subtract?
Focus Target Skills:
Making ten to add and breaking a two-digit number to make it easier to add.
Practice:
- Counting to 120 going forward and practice counting backward from 30.
Science:
Essential Question:
- How do you make brighter or darker areas?
- How do you make a dark area in a bright puppet show scene?
Chapter Focus:
- How do you make different parts of a surface brighter or darker?
- Students will understand the properties of light
Social Emotional Learning:
Skill: Social Awareness and Responsible Decision Making
